Ellipticals Really Work?

Hi guys .. I am 13 years old and I lost about 25-30 pounds. I want to buy an elliptical like this: http://ellipticalall.net/images/elliptical_fitness_equipment/elliptical_fitness_equipment_250×251.jpg But I have some questions .. 1) Is it really? 2) Will I begin to see results within 2-4 weeks? 3) Is it really expensive? Rate 4), we say the amount of calories you burn with? if you could help! :)

What is the best fitness equipment home, you can buy, it's not so expensive?
