South Plainfield, New Jersey, July 2005 – Dallas Contracting Co., Inc., (website: http://www.dallascontracting.com) a contractor specializing in demolition, site concrete aggregate crushing, equipment salvage and scrap metal recycling to various industries, has completed 5,000 tons of concrete and asphalt crushing project for a client in New Jersey.
The scope of this project was to Dallas Contracting Co., Inc. (Dallas contractor) providing an excavator and a factory crushing concrete on site to crush 5,000 tons of concrete, asphalt and brick within 2 inches of material used to fill the site. The work should be completed before the client had a filling period must be met.
To make this task, Dallas Contracting used a Komatsu PC220LC excavator with attachment and a bucket UltraMax 1000-15CV Plant (manufactured by Eagle Crusher Company, Inc.). UltraMax is a portable unit to 3 storey mill with a feed hopper size of 11 cubic meters and is powered by a 275HP And diesel generator 75kW. The typical performance crushing plant material of this nature is about 1000 tons per day.
Materials were of size 2 feet x 2 feet to fit in the crib. The materials are introduced into the hopper using the Komatsu excavator. Rebar concrete is determined from material added through a magnet board. The rebar is dumped on side and crushed materials were evacuated to the rear. The material was crushed gravel of size less than 2 inches.
The timing of the customer, all the materials needed to be crushed as soon as possible to meet its timetable for filling. Dallas Contractor was able to meet the tight schedule of the customer and the 5000 tons of materials were crushed in five (5) days. The crushed aggregate is used immediately by the customer to fill on the site. The project was completed on time and without incident or injury.
